Backwards Things

Does it cost more to make cherry or strawberry flavored Jolly Ranchers, Starbursts, gummy bears, etc. than it costs to make lemon, lime, or orange? Then why all the lemons, people? Everybody likes red flavors better than yellow. Can't we find a way to work this out?

My car starts just fine for me all through winter, and as soon as it starts to warm up, I usually have to turn the key in the ignition a couple of times before it will start. Is this not backwards? Am I doing something wrong?
